THERE IS MUSIC ON ALMOST ALL THE PAGES.

TURN YOUR SPEAKERS ON AND ENJOY THE BACKGROUND MUSIC.

First, we would like to tell you a little about who we are and what we do as a post. Then we would like to invite you to explore our website to find out even more.

One of our members, and post officers, William King did a project about SAMS, it tells who we are and what we do. We hope you enjoy the PowerPoint presentation.

SAMS PowerPoint Presentation

Post 48, located in Phoenix, Arizona, was chartered on 28 March 1988.

We are proud to have turned Post 48 into one of the most active posts in the nation. On average, in a 52 week year, members of the post come together at over 52 events. This is in addition to all of our SAMS meetings, Caledonian Society meetings, UAV meetings, volunteer driving for the VA Medical Center, and others as well. We have a great group of very dedicated Men and women that put in a lot of hours and drive a lot of miles to make it all possible.

SAMS Post 48 has been working to establish posts in Tucson and in Prescott, Arizona. This is another thing that shows our dedication to SAMS. If we didnt have people so dedicated to the organization we wouldnt have the membership that we do in our own post and we wouldn't be so close to having these other two posts operating in Arizona. More and more people are always becoming interested in the society.

Every event we attend there are people interested in knowing who we are and what we do. We are proud of who we are and what we do for the Scottish community as well as the Veteran community. We take pride in what we do. Attending events is more than just going out in the SAMS uniform to be seen. We are out there supporting our fellow veterans and those currently serving in the United States Military, whether they be Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force, or Coast Guard. Another thing that our post has accomplished is that we have at least one member from each branch of the service.  Our members include active duty military personnel, retired military personnel and those that served proudly for there contracted time and got out to pursue other careers. No matter how long we served or plan to serve, we are all part of the United States military, proudly defending our nations freedom.
